WT #1: Let's Make the World's Biggest eBay BOLO List...
Posted by: RR-Seth - 06-17-2019, 05:10 AM - Forum: The Weekly Topic - Replies (4)

Every time I see a BOLO posted on Instagram, I get a little sad.  Sharing is a nice thought, but I know that I'll probably never see that post again!  Unless you screenshot things to refer to later, they'll probably get gobbled up by the little Instagram gremlins.  So, let's make the world's largest BOLO list!  This will always be available here and will always be free.  So be sure to subscribe to this thread!

First off, let's define what a BOLO is.  BOLO stands for Be On the Lookout, meaning an item/brand/style/etc. that you should be looking for when sourcing.  So if you picked up an item recently that did really well for you, let us know about it!

One of my personal requirements for a BOLO is that it needs to be something that can actually be found.  There are thousands of rare, valuable items that, even if you managed to find, are not worth anyone else memorizing a brand and looking for because the chances of finding them are nil.  The best type of BOLOs are things that are commonly found, but just as commonly overlooked.

What to include in your BOLO post: (not all of these are required, but put some effort into helping the community and the good juju will come back!)

  • Brand Name or Type of Item

  • Pictures of said item/brand tag/etc.

  • An example of one that has sold or is for sale

  • Any tips you have for finding the item, what to look for, etc.

Well, let's get to it!  I'll start:

Item: Grain Mills & Cereal Grinders

Brand:  Brand isn't nearly as important as the quality, capacity, etc.

We have sold these 3 within the past couple months.  2 from thrift stores and one from a yard sale.  Check them out in the attachments!

What are your unusual BOLOs?

  Say Hey! Introduce Yourself...
Posted by: RR-Kirstie - 03-28-2019, 05:21 AM - Forum: General Discussion & Shenanigans (Free Forum) - Replies (3)

Hi!  I'm Kirstie.  You are?

If you're going to be around for any length of time, it would be great to introduce yourself so we know who you are, rather than just jumping into conversations.  Take the time to fill our your forum sig, add a profile picture, etc.

In this thread, you have the chance to make a first impression and tell us a little about yourself.  Some things to include in your intro might be:

-Your experience selling on eBay (part-time, full-time, etc.)
-Your current goals on eBay
-What you hope to get out of the forums
-Your Instagram name (if you post reselling content and wish to network with others)
-And any other interesting or fascinating things about yourself!

*Remember: We all want to get to know you and be friends here, but this section of the forum is public so please use discretion and caution concerning what you choose to share.

We look forward to knowing you!

Welcome to the ResellingRevealed Forums!

By registering on this site, you are also agreeing to the following ResellingRevealed Forum Rules & Etiquette.  Before we hammer out exactly what those are, let's just share with you our idea for the forums and the atmosphere here:

The ResellingRevealed Forums are a place designed for those serious about selling on eBay to meet together and grow their businesses through positivity, synergy, and information sharing.

If you can keep with the spirit of that, you'll fit right in here.  Now, there are specific ways that you can break the rules here which will result in consequences ranging from a warning to an instant ban.  The consequence is entirely up to the moderators and will depend on the situation and attitudes of those involved.

While the specific ways that people can be idiots are far too diverse to enumerate, the following can be considered "Punishable Offenses":

Insults & Rudeness

Personal Insults and name-calling are not tolerated.  This isn't grade school (or high school, for that matter,) and everyone should feel safe to say something dumb or mess up without being raked across the coals.  You are free to disagree (even vehemently), dispute the opinions or posts of others, and even disabuse people of their false realities.  However, being extremely rude, sarcastic, telling someone to shut up, or being an all-around jerk will make sure that your stay here is a very short one.

Other Childish Behavior

Failure to comport yourself as an adult can also result in the ban-hammer falling.  This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Harassment
  • Threats of any sort
  • Trolling
  • Purposefully Misleading Others
  • Unnecessary Profanity
  • Posting Sexual Content
  • Abusing the PM System
  • Antagonizing or Provoking members/moderators
  • Unabashed self promotion or promotion of paid products/courses/etc.
In short, any behavior which is not congruent with our mission statement will result in the offender being ousted.

If you are curious about whether a behavior is tolerated, it probably isn't.  This is our holy place of fun and productivity, and we will defend it as such.

If you feel any member is in violation of the spirit of the forums, feel free to PM any of the admins or moderators and we will review the situation.
